Aerofly rc812/15/2023 Probably best to contact the developer (ikarus) and ask then if they plan to release this on steam and their estimated timing. My original direct download version of RC8 already contained all the addons and cost me about the same as the current Steam RC8 plus both addons. Minimum (recommended) system requirements. I'm pretty sure ikarus will offer RC9, probably by itself and maybe as an upgrade depending on which RC8 addons you already have. This aerofly RC8 STANDARD-Edition can be upgraded to the full verion with 246 models and 54 sceneries in this shop as a download. However, in the future I think RC9 will see the most development improvements. aerofly RC 8 is the first choice for beginners, amateurs and professionals when it comes to learning and improving model flying. RC8 is still supported and the direct download version actually just got an update yesterday. Still good to support the developers though. There's a camera up the nose of the plane, and 3rd person view dynamic camera behind the aircraft. Then press 4 to cycle through different forward views. Overall I very happy with RC9 but to be honest I probably could have lived with RC8 given the limited aircraft (mainly heli's) and scenery I fly with. You need to be in a 4D flying field for this to work. Also a few new 2D sceneries, but no additional 4D scenery (which I mainly use for VR). I thought the upgrade cost was pretty reasonable (think it was ~$50). Pretty much all models have a new and improved flight models which is more realistic for practice, there are plenty of new models and new sceneries, more contests in existing sceneries and much more. My frugal/niggardly side was quietly hoping Aerofly RC 8 would turn out to be flawed and unlovable a niche title with limited. About a month ago I bought an Upgrade from RC8 (direct download version, not Steam) to RC9 direct download version direct from the ikarus website shop (google to find it). Aerofly RC 8 has a new graphics engine which should run much faster and allows for virtual reality playing. At a time when many are struggling to make ends meet, I’m really not sure a £65 (£129 with DLC) radio control aircraft simulator is a sensible subject for a Friday feature.
